Supporting Texas 4000 is more than valuable. I once heard “The purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.”, along these lines I believe supporting Texas 4000 is invaluable, as its efforts to educate and inform others about cancer makes an impact that can not be truly measured. This education paired with Texas 4000’s advocacy and action towards aiding cancer research and care furthers the invaluable nature of supporting Texas 4000. I lost my Grandpas to cancer, and I know friends who have lost their mothers to breast or ovarian cancers, so I want to share stories of the impactful people in our lives while learning and sharing others’ experiences, as education for all is preparation for the difficult moments that arise in life. I hope to help inform others through demonstration, how to utilize their ambitions and the community to ease the turmoil caused by difficult moments in life during my time in Texas 4000, a 4,000+ mile bike ride from Austin to Anchorage. In all, the value of supporting Texas 4000 is one that reaches many reaches as they make a difference in the world through unique avenues that touch lives.

About Jason Wang

"Who am I?" is a question I frequently ask myself, I am a Sophomore pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, with aspirations to change the world. A very lofty goal with no clear direction. With life and most decisions, I just go with the flow of things. I was born and raised in Houston Texas, from a nuclear family of two supportive parents each from their own unique cultures and a sister. Who I have become has been a result of the many people who have touched my life, and from such people I have learned a great deal of knowledge and experience. This developed my passion for learning and exploration that has led me so far.
